Wikipedia says:
"A sequel is a work of fiction in literature, film, and other creative media, that is produced after a completed work, and set in the same "universe", usually following the events of the original. It continues elements of the original story, often with the same characters and settings."
"In film, a remake is a newer version of a previously released film or a newer version of the source (play, novel, story, etc.) of a previously made film."
So what is a requel? It is the term I'm using for the cesspool that is produced from marrying the sequel and the remake into one limping lumpy retarded mutant hybrid pile of crap. Of course I am referring to the film The Butterfly Effect 2. This is a half-assed remake regurgitating the original idea and trying to pass it off as a sequel. And I really enjoyed the first film.
"Well, this movie is terrible. What should we do?"
"Lets add sex scenes!"
Real nice work. I bet your families are real proud of you. The writer should be ashamed. The director should be ashamed. I guess we should expect no less from a film that was shot entirely in 20 days.
Tagline: Can you make a shitty film without destroying your career?
